I was being a smart Alec. I’ve heard of no such deal. He was probably also being a smart Alec.

If there was a deal, they wouldn’t still be posting about practice pickets all the way up to an hour ago.

I haven't seek any propaganda from the company side yet..........id like to see debate between ct and so....see who comes out on top

I did hear that ups wants to stop sending the teamsters the 9 dollars an hour heath and welfare and instead include it in the pters pay ....the pters would have to go to the union hall and pay-off the teamster officials

Practice the picket line with nobody there, which might happen in a long strike and replacement workers. Everyone loves a war until the body bags start being used.

I was making that comparison because I was listening to a union contract “expert” being interviewed and he felt that our contract would be similar to that of John Deere. As far as being right, I just think everyone should be able to express their opinion on a subject. And when someone is equally adamant on insisting you are wrong, you have a responsibility to set the record straight. Just simply calling the man out for something he done wrong. I voted for him, but that doesn’t affect the way I judge his performance. If he screws up, I’m gonna say he screwed up. We all should want the best person possible in leadership roles. And the only way we do that is to be honest with ourselves about their performance in said roles.
Sure, but you also have to be aware that you voted for a human, and latitude should be afforded. He had a gaffe, one time, and you're beating your drum to it. Look at the overall, he's held his line the whole time. If he affords an extension, you have your right to bitch. He can't force the company to put forth a LBFO, and until then, he can't tell us what the offer is. Until then, he can't reject their offer and put us out Aug 1. There hasn't been one handed over, hands are tied until Aug 1 and you're screaming about a single line stated on a single day, rather than taking the whole I to account. You do you, buddy.

You just don't expect company just to roll over?

None of us know what the union was asking for and what the company was offering.
We did get some really fantastic language
Especially getting rid of the 22.4

I don’t expect them to roll over but I couldn’t imagine a company that makes ton of money wanting it’s entire work force on strike. I really believe the stall is over part time pay.
