El Paso is a Democrat run city. Sanctuary city I believe.

Care to clarify your statement?

MOF, El Paso embraces their"current illegal immigrant problem"......
Shows what you know. El Paso has been shipping illegals to NYC too. Yes, they are Democrat run. Still a nice city, and one of the safest cities in the country.

You substitute teach in a public school? Have you taken your viewpoints and spoke openly regarding them in a public forum ? If your convictions are that important then what are you doing broadcasting them on this site that is focused on the small package industry? They belong in professional trade journals and your on union's web site and at it's union member meetings. I'm not an expert in the field of public education and I made that point clear Being that you are (or think you are )then it is much more incumbent upon you to be able to provide some data backing your viewpoint because of your readily available access to it.
Wait a minute here.....you aren't an expert on public schools? Yet, you belittle someone with a high school education? Yes, belittle. And admit not knowing what you are talking about? So odd.

When did I say I was an "expert" on public education? What viewpoints are you talking about? Exactly?

Hey Champ......the forum is CURRENT EVENTS!

I'm curious, have you noticed you are doing the exact same thing....? Broadcasting your convictions on a "small package industry"?

Say, where do YOU belong?

BTW, my union doesn't care anything about if Johnie can read......they just want the dues from the teachers union.....

Point here is that public sector schools are in dismal shape....especially those controlled by Democrats. And you don't like that.......because you are one. When the lunacy of the left is aired in public........the left gets very angry.

Your perspective has no sense of reality. My words stand. Shows that yours and my observations are wildly different in conclusions......like @bacha29. Are you liberal?(like @bacha29)

No, just honest. El Paso is nothing like the other cities you cited. I lived less than a 100 miles from there in two different towns and went there often. Very familiar. You're making assumptions but you are wrong.

Now compare El Paso with other big cities. I didn't say it was perfect. It's just a lot better than the other cities he lumped it in with. What you'll find in Texas is a violent crime rate much less in Hispanic majority cities than in Hispanic majority cities elsewhere. Property crime is definitely a serious issue. Don't leave things lying around outside. El Paso is a nice city, and in no way is comparable to the violence and slums of cities back east or in California.

It’s not great, what big city is, but it’s not the worst by any standard. Your buddy seems to think it’s a :censored2: hole because it has a lot of Hispanics. He should do a little research before making statements.

Nah, I can't stand ignorance, no matter who is spouting it. Hey, you aren't one of those fellows who thinks anyone who disagrees with you is a card carrying communist are you?
He could be someone who joins multiple organizations as to cover his bets.
You know , in case the *hit hits the fan.

When the next bank closes and all the rich loose their funds, who will be left to pay all these grand idea plans ?

Getting public funding for public education requires votes and it has been the beneficiary of numerous DEMOCRAT sponsored public education bills including the public school that employ's you That's assuming of course that you actually teach in one. If you do then based on what your saying you have most definitely economically benefited courtesy of collective bargaining which you should be expected to know was a Democrat legislative initiative. Try denying the fact that you haven't benefited .

On Friday Rep. Scott Perry chairman of the so called "Freedom Caucus" put out a new set of demands. The group's demands call for an immediate 25% cut in ALL federal spending except defense ANNUALLY for at least the next DECADE. If they don't get their way they have sufficient votes to drive the federal government into default.

As a hard line conservative, why would you NOT want this to happen? It is entirely in keeping with your extreme right wing ideology. Banks everywhere you look would would be failing by the minute in a manner similar to the Silicone Valley Bank failure we saw on Friday and it happens to be the nation's second largest bank. Furthermore hospitals and nursing homes would close up overnight. Sixty six percent of total revenues received by the regional healthcare system that covers my area comes from Medicare. And nationwide 62% of all nursing home residents are on Medicaid following the exhaustion of their personal savings.....And can you guarantee that you will not suffer the same fate later in life?

Public schools suck. Teachers union is to blame, teaching colleges are also complicit. Woke curriculum has to go. School vouchers are gaining momentum.

Quad certainly has a posting style , but you on the other hand continually Post false and slanted information, so I really can’t take you serious ever.

“Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) was a commercial bank headquartered in Santa Clara, California. SVB was the 16th-largest bank in the United Statesat the time of its failure on March 10, 2023, and was the largest bank by deposits in Silicon Valley.”

The largest US bank failure since 2008. A bank that at it's peak held 170 billion in deposits,

I think they should raise the 62 year early retirement. My retirement age was raised by Reagan from 65 to 66.5. Raise the early retirement not the actual retirement age.
When Lloyd Bentsen was Treasury Secretary he advocated for raising the retirement age to 70. He had nothing to lose politically and was ageing and not in the best of health so he spoke freely about the matter.

Nikki Haley just the other day called for raising the retirement age. Only trouble was her spine wasn't strong enough to allow her vocal chords to say the age she wants it to be raised to.

Now try telling that to a person in a labor intensive job. Let's say to a 43 year old stone mason....'Hey pal sorry to have to tell you this but we're going to tack 3 maybe 5 more years on that you'll have to work until you can draw full benefits".

To do this enough people will have to be willing to sacrifice their political careers....and who do you think is willing to do that?

We see today what has happened in France when the plan was announced to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64.

Like I said you spin and spread so much misinformation it’s hilarious. It’s fun to listen to you Not admit you’re wrong. Number 2, number 16 they’re pretty much the same right? 😂
As compared to what you guys do. Simply doing what Fox News and Newsmax tells you to do. Take what they say out and recite it to one another.
