Once, many years ago, we were told all packages not delivered because of dogs were to be recorded as "missed".

Gravy route
3rd floor balcony/fire escape on back of Apt bldg.
Knock on back door for sig.
Lady lets little ankle biter out.
Yap, yap.
Driver kicks at dog to keep him away.
His foot hooks under dog's belly and dog is air born.
Flies off balcony into a snowbank far below.
Dog was stunned but survived.
Lady did not sue UPS, driver did not sue for dog attack.

Next stop.

Funniest story I have read all week. Is it true?

Vicious big dog, never out.
Sig required.
Lady starts to open the door.
I am yelling "Don't open the door".
Dog gets his nose out, snarling.
I push the door closed on his nose.
He turns and bites the owner's hand, blood streaming down.

Owner..."He bit my hand! He bit my hand!"

Me..."Better you than me".

Next stop.

What is the proper way to sheet a package when you encounter an aggressive dog not on a leash? Had one yesterday and I sheeted it Not In 1. Is that correct?
Rule number one: call maroon sups because rules always change. Protect yourself always because you can't win. If a dog bites it is your fault too according to management logic.

I wouldn't DR a house because the dog was loose so the owner came out with the dog on a leash and right when the owner says he doesn't ( the dog jump up and bite me arm) bite , well his face drop and he started apologising and I just walked away

Dogs are evil. Not in 1 and have the clerks call customer

Where in the methods training does it explain this?
If you really have to ask why you can't EC because of a dog, you have other problems !!!
A dog in the yard isn't Emergency Conditions.

Not In is more than efficient with DOG in remarks to not have issues with management. If you can't knock on the door and you honked it's a Not In 1.

the other day I had a customer tell me, "It should be ok, He usually doesn't bite."

Translation: he will fear bite and give you a few nips when you meet him.

You shouldn't have to address your aggressive and violent dog to people coming onto your property. I did Dish network all over rural Midwest and dogs :censored2: you secure them or I leave.

By the way. If any of you get bitten by a dog record every moment of time off and medical care and (possible) physical therapy you'll need. It is very easy to get an infection or even secondary infection on a bite.

If it got your hands, don't forget the 27 bones and 29 ligaments (minor and major) and how imperative they work as a full, functioning, undamaged machine. Nerve damage, internal scarring, etc are no joke. Getting a virus from a dog poo mouth bite or infections is a real thing. Be careful folks.
