What kind of holsters you guys use?? I’ve got alien gear now. Don’t know if I wanna try another one or go a different route

I use a foxx holster for my EDC, a S&W .45 shield. It is really comfy. after a while, you forget you have it on.

Don't beat me up over this holster. It came with my new .45. My son still works for ups, and he had the holster custom made.

My alien gear for my PCR and just ordered

For my p10. I figured if I don’t like the OWB I can swap the shell to I’m IWB and carry it that way.

I've carried the new .45 the last 2 days. I'm having an issue with the edge of the rear sight catching my love handle. My foxx has a flap that covers the whole gun. This kydex doesn't do that.

I've tried OWB, but I'll only carry IWB now. Don't want to print at all.

The Springfield is a load. I weighed the gun only with a magazine full of ball ammo. 41.5 ounces. My S&W .45 shield with a full mag of ball ammo. 28.0 ounces.

that’s why I’m going back to a polymer frame pistol. My PCR is nice, but it’s a bear to carry.

For looks and to shoot a metal gun is better but to carry all day a polymer frame usually wins.

Yes. I prefer all metal. But I’m liking this polymer.


I’m still gonna carry the PCR occasionally tho.

Yes, a 1911-A1. .45. They have come a long way over the years. Bottom gun is a WW2 issue Ithaca Gun company. My father had it chromed and he carried it as his duty weapon when he was a policeman.
