To be honest I don't know but I think it's Stevens. Only markings on it are the words "Ranger".

When I looked it up all I could find was that it was sold by Sear Roebuck and that a few firearms manufacturers made rifles for them. Steven's and Springfield being a couple of them.

I have a Stevens-Savage 22/410 that was my fathers. I reblued it myself (Birchwood Casey kit) a long time ago. It looks OK but would look a lot better if I knew what I was doing at the time.

More or less it is. It is a model 22-410 which was later renamed the model 24.

I've been meaning to get one of those in 9mm. You'll need to report back, and tell me what you think of the .45 compared to it.
I figured the .45 would be a bit heavier, and less convenient to haul around, but not sure if that's accurate.

Too small of frame for me. Especially for .40 or .45. Hands are too big for it.

Hell ya. I had a shield 9 at a really good price. Ended up flipping it on my CZ. They’re just too small for my fat hands
