As one who has been to many of those type things, it's friggin torture. Lol. I know some parents love it, not me. I've always done it because it means the world to your children. It's painful to see the look of hurt on their faces when you tell them you can't be there. But when they see your face in the crowd, the smile on their face makes up for the misery of sitting through a performance. Lol.

For the most part I was able to get to all my kids Christmas programs during elementary school. Most of the time I would save all my break that day- break off my route and meet my wife at the school. More than once she wasn't able to save me a seat so I just stood in the back and smiled. Did I like the programs --- for the most part no-- but it was just something I wanted to do. After the program I went back delivering. There were some damn right funny moments during those little kids programs.
