I don't trap anymore unless wildlife invades my yard. It's no joke rabies is real bad in this area. I finally had the game commission come out and trap some opossum. When you see them running around in the daytime, it's not a good thing.

Rabies is a self limiting disease. The more animals you see the less likely one of them will be rabid. It is cyclical though with periodic population crashes when rabies kills off most of them.

I agree when you see opossums in the daytime they are probably not normal.

Yes it is . Plus it keeps areas from being overly populated and disease free.

Yep nature finds a way. When a species gets overpopulated you can bet a disease will hit.
