Their is a farm not to far away and they have a ton of them. The cats would try to get in the house., They would rip up the garbage and use my garden as a litter box.

I made plenty of calls and nobody was willing to do anything about it.

So you trapped them and took them to a shelter?

Killed one that was hiding under my father in laws deck about 7-8 years ago.


I think it took 5-6 shots with a .22

One shot in the head with a .38 ended it quickly.

I wanted to use something big enough but not too big.

When we were college we saw one and decided to kill it with a baseball bat. Took a bunch of college baseball players about 30 swings.

Yeah. The problem is skinning Enough coons to become efficient doing it.


On a side note I've become good enough with an electric fillet knife to fillet a fish just with it. GAME CHANGER!!!!

On a side note I've become good enough with an electric fillet knife to fillet a fish just with it. GAME CHANGER!!!!

I was pretty good at skinning them. I usually let the fur processing place do it. They charged a buck and a half.

My mother didn't like me having all those fur skins in the basement.
