No

Not if you are buying but if you already have it ... sure.
The D40 does not have the motor drive in body so each lens has to have focusing motor.
Makes the lens expensive and I don't know of any manufacturer making lens for the D40.
Fine camera though other than that and a rather small display.

My son and DIL are/were both professional photographers. My son owned a commercial studio for seven years, and his wife graduated with a degree in photography.

They both avoided wedding work with a passion. Too much drama.

I'm ok with Senior pix but I refuse to do any unless mother or father are there the whole time of the shoot.
I am not going to be alone with a minor.
I think those types of shoots are better for women.
