Classic or shortie. There is an island in the delaware river in between philly and jersey called Hog Island. Legend has it that a guy working on a barge out there used to bring sandwiches with leftover meat from dinner that his wife made for him for lunch. They started calling it a "Hog"ie and that's where that word came from. Any thoughts?

In 1937 off the coast of Norway there was an outpost that was looking for German U boats. In order to bring food to them there was a lady from the town of Subvinch who legend tell would row a boat out to the men stationed as lookouts loaded with meat sandwiches.
The men when they would see her would yell out " Look the Sub wench is on her way" Sub wench, sub sandwich.
