Instead of the address saying 12345 Broadway Ave, it might say Rt 1 Box 385. Complicated to figure it out, unless you know the system.

You just had to learn who lived where. Those box numbers didn't have to be in sequential order and you could get multiple houses with the same number.

Increasing because the post office is eliminating home delivery to more areas. Progressing backwards. Any way to save money.

Yeah. The plan used to be go to the post office and ask them. Now they are only open 2 hours.
