In New England. There are a lot of small restaurants in little harbors that don't look great and no atmosphere ,, but awesome views of the ocean and outstanding seafood
Not like the seafood in big chain joints,,, except for the Cape where all seafood places are overpriced and fancy joints wich cater to the spoiled rich snobs from NY and CT

I prefer an out of the way place. They always have the best food. Brown paper on the table, no problem.

Yup.....Long Island is similar. One of the best places to get oysters on the half shell fresh outta the ocean is this little shack of a restaurant in Montauk....no tourists would ever think to eat there.

Some of those greasy spoons can be really nasty though. Hard for a tourist to know which are the good places.
