It’s not all about Trump. The EC, gerrymandering within states, the Senate, all result in Republicans with power despite the majority of voters wanting different representation. Republicans have bad ideas that most people disagree with, but here we are.

Name blue States with Democrat dominated legislatures who gerrymandered districts for a Republican advantage? Name States who never gerrymandered for a Democrat advantage? Name red States who have a numerical Democrat advantage? Seriously, the last election could have gone Hillary's way if she hadn't talked about shutting coal completely down. Enough counties that normally vote blue went red. Why can't you just accept that your candidate just didn't run a smart campaign?

That's exactly what I said. Each state's popular vote determines how the electoral votes are cast. That popular vote on a national level doesn't count for anything. Just because millions more voted in a couple of large states for a particular candidate doesn't mean they get to dictate how things go for the rest of the country. Want those flyover state votes? Get out and campaign for them vigorously. Clinton didn't.
