I stand partially corrected. While Bolivia has the world's biggest deposits it isn't one of the top three producers. That would be China, Chile, and Australia. Argentina has the world's second largest deposits and is a major producer. None of them are employing black child labor though.

So, the correct explanation you're looking for is that a picture of somewhere in Africa was used by a super-ignorant poster, when it wasn't even a picture of lithium mining at all.

It doesn’t really matter. Forced child labor mining lithium is a huge problem in Chile.
