Lol you keep believing that. Our whole economy switching from a customer based economy to government control economy. The government is the customer to the big business and they will do what they’re told. Don’t believe me? Just look at Dodge They are getting rid of their two best selling vehicles, the challenger and the charger right after years were they had some of the highest sales. It’s not because the customer wanted it, they vehemently don’t.

“In their defense, the decision to stop selling V8s in favor of electric muscle cars isn't Dodge acting purely on its own accord. Government at the state, federal and international level have made it pretty clear that they want...or need us out of gas cars and into EVs as soon as possible.”

And as soon as they figure out that producing enough electricity for all these huge batteries requires too much coal and natural gas they'll change their minds. As soon as they realize there's not enough minerals/metals to make all those big batteries they'll change their minds. They won't have a choice. Self preservation is numero uno in Washington and mandating a system that will collapse is a sure ticket out of there.

Yes, because politicians and reality are always something that goes together? Do you really believe in two years dodge decided to get rid of the hemi and v8s in general? This is not a left right issue. This is a government issue and they all agree they will give you what you can choose.

It has nothing to do with just liberals, they certainly suck but it’s politicians in general who always want more power and control it’s universal. You never fail to bang the same old drum over and over again.
And you somehow can't see that politicians go with the prevailing winds but will change course in a heartbeat if it's their ass on the line. You guys keep buying into these ideas about there's some evil cabal behind the scenes that wants to mind control us all.

Eventually reality, and CYA, wins out.

OK, but will they reach that horizon with the big battery? Got PHEV's right now that'll do the job with a much smaller battery. Tesla's econoboxes are going to be as appealing as their premium models?
If Tesla is still allowing their cars to be sold instead of them making taxis, yes, it's a matter of time before you have 25-30k for a 300 mile range econobox. That's death to any non-EV.

The prevailing winds is to get rid of things people want? You fail to realize politicians don’t give a rip what you want and they know people will still vote for them. I had enough of them will be just apathetic enough that they’ll win. Politicians have their masters and it is not us.

It doesn't matter how dumb it gets. Or how expensive.

Didn't covid teach you anything?

It doesn't matter how dumb it is. They'll double-down, triple-down, and quintuple-down on their stupidity at any cost, even if it proves to be stupid.

They're religious fanatics. Cost doesn't stop them. Elections don't exist.
Even if you're right and we run out of minerals, every grid shuts down, etc. they won't stop.

Like I said, banging the same old drum. Completely oblivious to what’s really happening.

According to Wilber the only thing that mattered was it performed better than any truck in history. Still not being produced.
Saw my first F150 lightning yesterday. Nice looking truck asked the guy if he tows with it he said no lol. A glorified electric grocery getter, probably 70 K 🤷‍♂️

You do realize that Tesla can design, announce, and build a dedicated factory from a forest, and have them rolling off the line faster than the average new model design comes from others?
Elon promises an impossible timeline. Then he misses it, doing it faster than anyone else ever could, and gets crap for it. lol.

The real reason is that the Austin factory (which will make the trucks) is dedicating more space to Model Y production because you can make a few model Y's for each cybertruck. They're capturing that demand with extra Y production.

There are millions of F150 owners who have never towed a thing, including many tradesmen. Or who have light and local work. It's a better choice for them.

Ten years ago, none of you had heard of Tesla.

Now, you're wondering why the world's most valuable car company and most profitable automaker only has half a dozen models and is just starting a semi-truck.

Just stop and think about that for a second.
