Yet laid off delivery drivers can't wait to go back on the street. Why is that?

I never heard a laid off delivery driver say it was about the money. They all say because the job sucks working inside making the same hourly rate. Having some teenage PT sup looking over your shoulder telling you to go faster all night.
I’ve never heard of laid off driver say it’s not about the money. It’s always about the money. Why else do we work here?
