500 hours just earns western teamsters a vested credit.
Based on the formula, 500 hours of service for the year would only accrue around $80 a month of pension benefits. Whereas working the full 2080 hours, is currently around $320-$330 a month

But I agree, the western teamsters pension is very generous
Do they have retiree healthcare for free or at least a reduced rate?

We're a union. We need to be paid the same. All our top rates are different so we don't actually mean that. We just want more money in our pension because it's not fair!! Oh and friend the PTers...
I hear you.. people are fired up about this as were they at the contract walk through.
