It said earlier in the day that 52 military planes had encroached into the zone, before reporting that four more entered the airspace in the evening. The previous record was
posted on Saturday, when 39 Chinese military planes flew into the zone.

Taiwanese Defense Ministry said the 56 Chinese aircraft included 38 J-16 fighter jets, 12 H-6 bombers, two SU-30 fighters, two Y-8 anti-submarine warfare planes and two KJ-500 airborne early warning and control planes.”
