There are immigrants who come here and work their asses off and make "true" Americans look lazy. There are naturalized citizens who got their citizenship by signing up for our military. Some even fight in wars for us. If a person is a citizen then no matter the circumstances he has a right to expect his government to go to bat for him in dire circumstances. Especially if those circumstances weren't of his doing.

100% agree. Someone who signs up for the U.S. military in say the Philippines isn't a border jumper. But sounds to me that some here are equivocating all immigrants as illegal, bad, evil, etc.
