Most people expected it as one of Joe's last actions as he was walking out the door.
Might have to be carted out the door by January 20th.
It’s super dumb that anyone ever pretended that Joe wouldn’t pardon Hunter, or that Joe could do another 4 years in office. For someone who believes men can become women I guess anything might seem possible.

A lot of people expected Joe to step down 2 years into his Presidency so Kamala could still run 2 more times. But she would have been so much of a disaster that even the Democrats resisted doing it.

The pardon also takes any investigations to those deals off the table. The Big Guy gets to keep his 10%.

I'm not sure if any investigation are off the table. Fact finding should continue to document Joe Biden's involvement.
One thing is for sure, the pardon is the coup de grace ending any notion of a successful Biden administration.

They can have hearings and Hunter would have to testify. He can't take the 5th now but I suspect he will be unable to remember a lot of things. Like virtually all hearings they will just be for show with nothing being done.

They've got wire transfer records to ten Biden family members. If taxes weren't paid then every last one should be gone after.

But the J6 prisoners have served 4 years in jail that has completely changed their lives whether they are guilty or not. Doesn’t sound fair to me.

agreed. and most wont fault him for being a father .
however... there is the issue about how broad this pardon is. it covers the time period back to2014 .
we have previously been told that the clock had run out on any tax fraud actions by hunter prior to 2016.
the pardon covers all issues including the charges he was found guilty of but not limited to those charges.
clearly this pardon protects Hunter for other issues that he was not convicted of .
Is jim biden the next pardon coming?

the hunter biden pardon and previous weaponization of justice against trump gives trump the moral reasoning to do so.
i do hope that trump looks at it case by case and does not pardon those who engaged in actual criminal acts of violence against our police officers unless there are extenuating issues where they were blatantly denied their constitutional rights.
i'm also eagerly looking forward to the justice departments undercover participation in the riots being investigated.
the charges of threat to democracy and nazism and weaponization of justice against trump are pretty bad. it will be interesting to see what the dems were hiding.

does receiving the pardon require Hunter being completely truthful on all past crimes as a plea deal would require?
if so a hearing could force him into being truthful on the influence peddling to avoid perjury?

interestingly enough it looks like president grant overturned two pardons by the former president .
i don't think Trump will try that since he didnt go after hillary and it would look vindictive as hell but he might be able to get away with it with todays supreme court if he tried.
