Obama finally speaks.. from the AP

3:50 p.m.

Former President Barack Obama is calling President Donald Trump’s decision to pull out of the Iran deal a “serious mistake” that will erode America’s global credibility.

Obama’s administration brokered the deal. He says Tuesday that Trump’s decision to withdraw is “misguided,” especially because Iran has been complying.

Obama also warned: “The consistent flouting of agreements that our country is a party to risks eroding America’s credibility, and puts us at odds with the world’s major powers.”

Obama says that without the deal, the U.S. “could eventually be left with a losing choice between a nuclear-armed Iran or another war in the Middle East.”

He says the deal remains a model for what diplomacy can accomplish, including when it comes to North Korea.

Donny made it a campaign promise to lock her up - I wonder what the holdup is?
You must admit Donny is very good at reversing Obama's Executive Orders and Executive Deals.
Iran Deal was another Obama Deal made without Congressional Authority.
The only real Obama Deal that had Congressional Authority was Obamacare.

Nothing to reversing an Executive Order.

Other than fighting liberal judges who try to block it.

The 9th circuit court just told Trump he has to allow Iran to get nukes.

True but I think/hope the Supreme Court will come down on these Circuit Courts rulings applying outside their jurisdiction.
You know the Conservative Courts will be doing the same thing to the next Liberal President comes along.
It's no way to run a country.

Yeah, I guess Trump putting pressure and initiating sanctions on the Iran regime today really shows his affectionate behavior towards Russia. Russia, who benefits both economically and militarily from their relationship with the regime. :halfdead:

"The expected April surplus, meanwhile, isn’t keeping the U.S. from running a wider budget deficit for the fiscal year to date. For the first seven months of the budget year, the shortfall totals $382 billion, or $37 billion more than the same period a year ago, CBO estimates. The CBO recently estimated the full-year deficit would be $804 billion, and that trillion-dollar deficits would return in 2020."

Trillion dollar deficits while the economy is booming is considered winning?
Lol

I'm not sure what Trump did today has any bearing on Russia whatsoever.

Russia gonna do what Russia gonna do, do you think they care that we're (close to) reimposing sanctions on Iran?

How does that effect Russia?

Legit question on topic.

What is the purpose of sanctions at this point? We use sanctions to begin negotiations to work towards a deal. Bailing on a deal right after signing it is not likely to result in a new better deal for us. It took years to get our allies to agree on the sanctions that got us the first deal, they aren’t likely to hop on board again now.
