Progression Raises

milk was a bad choice
Just an FYI here.. The people in my hub that are currently in a progression DID receive a 70 cent raise on their checks this week. I'm guessing that must mean they will also receive a retro check as well..

I'm a driver in Philly and my son made seniority as a driver last June. He checked his pay rate today and he also received the .70 raise. He was told by the union that he wouldn't receive the raise because he was in progression. That means that he will be receiving a retro check later this month. I'm happy for him but I hope that UPS doesn't come back in a few months and say that everyone in progression should not have received the raise and try to take money back. I've seen it happen more than once in the 21 years that I've been at UPS.

All union employees should get a retro check, regardless of tenure. The way I read the contract is that you're in the progression scale, or the scale of raises, not both. So I'm not sure how someone in progression gets the .70 also.

I started full time driving in September. So I really have no clue what I will be getting. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

I started driving Sept 10th. Made book in Jan. Salary jumped from 16.10 to 17.25. Then I saw my check today it's at 18.75. Retro check hopefully on the way as well to make up for the 7+ months I was making less then the new starting rate of 18.75

Section 5 (a) is for employees who gained seniority before Aug 1, 2013.

Section 5 (b) is for employees that are hired or gain seniority after Aug 1, 2013.
