Quadruple time 9.5 penalty isn’t enough to deter the company. How much would it take?

Lets just say I was so cold that I bought another fax machine so I could send in 9.5 papers on Friday evening when I got home. Didn’t want stewards holding my papers for a few weeks.

Only the middle of February and have dozens of people where I am getting ready to hit quadruple time or already hit it for going over 9.5 and no end in sight. And they don’t care. No intention of hiring anyone.

Maybe we should ask for 10x ?
It's business. The union knows overtime is part of the job so they negotiated the overtime bonus pay.

The mistake is in drivers thinking the 9.5 grievance is the solution to getting less overtime. It's not.

Another problem is calling it a grievance. Some do not file out of fear. It should be an automatic pay scale, go over a certain number of hours, collect that wage, no grievance needed.

I agree it should be automatic pay, but if you’re too much of a coward to file a grievance then :censored2: you. Might as well let management come to your house drink your beer and have sex with your wife. Really get sick of hearing pusillanimous say this stuff. Man up/ woman up.

The current management we are under couldn’t find their :censored2:s with a roadmap, and GPS much less put together a competent case to terminate someone.

Automatic premium pay takes away many of the tactics the company uses to have people not file. Don't know why, but many, even if on the 9-5 list, do not file.

We should stop calling it a grievance, call it "overtime bonus pay".
