The only thing I envy about you is how you find the time to do such a hard job as dropping off boxes while simultaneously being online because I can assure you, we have no time to be on our phones while preloading. Also, G-Wagons are extremely ugly and your wife probably is too.
It's called multitasking at pick ups. Obviously you don't have the intelligence to handle that.

As far as the comments on my wife, you couldn't handle the amazing , intelligent, and beautiful woman she is. She does and makes more in one week then your trailer trash, inbred ass would make in years.
She would put your loser ass in place and leave you even more broken and pathetic then you are.

Sorry you don't like the Mercedes G wagon. It shows what style and class you clearly lack. That's ok. I'm sure your moms beat up 1990 Honda Civic is all your ass can afford. We've also have a Lexus friend coupe and an Audi exotic too. But hey, I'm sure you and your inbred sister go out on dates in better cars.

The insults would be better with proper grammar. You seem like a very angry man, I'm sorry UPS has made you that way. I hope after retirement you can find some joy.

Far from it. You're just adorable. Wrong but still adorable.

Just curious Mr Awesome Load but how long have you been at ups and how old are you??

Rule number 1- Drivers are allowed to make fun of and complain about all UPS employees, including other drivers.

Rule number 2-No one (excluding other drivers) are allowed to make fun of drivers. Because no one other then UPS drivers know how difficult their job is.

Get it through your head OP. These are the rules.

Drivers, as a preloader, I wonder, why do you all insist on being complete and total a s sholes? We're busting our ass all morning while you all dream away, for not even half of what you all make, and you all come in and bitch and complain for 20 minutes. Many of you start making that $ and completely forget that you were once in our shoes. Just keep this one thing in mind, drivers: you're 100% more replaceable than we preloaders are.

I know what you are saying, I both load trucks and drive seasonally so I can understand both. I had couple of grumpy drivers that would bitch and complain, even though it is impossible to load those pulls. I just give them silent treatment, it's always those grumpy guys that haven't smiled in years that can't handle the job but can't walk away either. UPS is full of those, but they also have a false sense of entitlement probably because poor suckers are so brain washed that they should be happy especially if they put in ton of time to become a driver. It is a paradox really, they act like they have attained something that is near impossible yet they are so miserable. And then there are drivers that are great and helpful, it comes down to personality traits. Some people just can't handle it mentally.

Someone else said it bud, the years start to wear on you, mainly your body but also the non stop mind games that go on daily. Not making fun but if you drive seasonally, then don't do it for 9-10 months, you wouldn't understand the daily grind. Those old grumpy guys you're talking about are at the end of that grind. Maybe they act miserable so their dumb :censored2: management team will leave them alone. Maybe try learning something from the older guys, it might help you down the line...

Mix in the fact that those old, grumpy guys know how to get the job done without needing baby-sitters, and the fact that management knows this and probably leans on them more to get the job done.

That would make anyone miserable.

Also what those kids might perceive as "grumpy" is really the more senior drivers standing up for themselves. There's a line and a balance of doing the job well and being taken advantage for that constantly.

20-40 year ups drivers have those years in because they understand that. They play the game well that ups creates.

And then there is guys like the OP who haven't learned that. They haven't even put in the time to understand the way UPS is. So they rant and yell like this trashy kid.

And they burn out real quick where they don't last.

I've only been at UPS for 2 years, coming this May. Work preload and drive am/Saturday air. I absolutely love working here and excited to become a FT driver!

When I first started working preload loading trucks, I would get the same treatment as the OP from drivers. I just listened to what they had to say and learned how to do it right. Most of the drivers were eager to help me get their loads right, made their days less stressful.

As to the subject thread, I think driving is much harder then preloading. There is just more variables working against you when driving. As many have said before, think driving is mostly mentally exhausting then physically. Mind over matter.......right? If you don't mind, then it doesn't matter.

Physically demanding jobs, such as loading, are always and will always be harder than mentally demanding jobs, such as driving, apparently.

You got it. When driving if your mind isn't ahead of your work it doesn't matter how physically hard you work. You will just be spinning your wheels and falling farther behind.

I know exactly how UPS is: Put the packages on the truck and go home.

Ok, someone explain to me what's so mentally challenging about driving to an address, picking up a box, walking that box to the door, dropping it off, or getting a signature, and walking off...
