Racism rears its ugly head

Since "WHEN" in America does that constitute a beating???

How many college students that night had fake ID's and tried to get into a bar in that town? How many of them were beaten to the point of having a bloody face?

Why didnt the police "charge" him with having a false ID?

Why is there NO MENTION of a false ID given by the "bouncer" aka lunkhead who told him to step aside?

Its an IRISH bar, and in all likelyhood, this "bouncer" aka lunkhead simply wanted to deny him entry because he was black and believed he had the authority to do so.

The ABC officers had NO RATIONAL cause for making this incident physical to the point where the student had to struggle.

Bars and their "bouncers" do this all the time, believing they have to authority to make judgements on entry based solely on appearance.

Racism is alive and well in this country. Most of you on this board demonstrate that all the time. Super-racist is a prime example and leads the way by admission.

TOS.

Get the facts of the case. All you have are your assumptions and bigotry.

Oh, brother.

You have ZERO proof why he was denied entry, you're just stuck on the "the bouncer hates black people"

The more you continue to call me a card carrying racist shows how foolish you are.

And you have ZERO proof that he deserved a beating.

Show me where he was beaten. Two ABC officers had him by each arm, and took him down and he face planted on the sidewalk. I don't consider that a beating. It's called consequences.

The girl who was whooped in McDonald's, beating. The girl who was attacked in Indianapolis(?) was beaten.

I'll bet you that the kid bloodied his own face to make it look more newsworthy. (See, I can also throw out RIDICULOUS theories of what happened)

Phil Matier: Racist, Anti-Gay Texts By SFPD Officers Puts Dozens Of Case...:

Stay on topic, ever? This was abouta SPECIFIC incident.
How in the world do the actions of cops in San Francisco have ANYTHING to do with a drunk 20 yr old trying to sneak into a bar and then calling cops racists?

But I'll play along. If those texts were their best evidence, then this is one weak case

Which reason for his denial into the pub is more likely true, a 20 year old college kid with a fake I.D. OR, because he was black?

Also, why do you put the word bouncer in quotes? It's an actual job title. It would be like if someone called you a "truck driver", the quotes are 100% unnecessary

Real answer? He was denied entrance because he was black.

He says he wasn't intoxicated and the police report supposedly backs up that statement.
Also, my understanding is he was already roughed up by the ABC when the real cops got there.
ABC officers aren't policemen. They should be enforcing regulation on the business side of things, not patrolling the streets looking for 20 year olds who are trying to get into bars.

The ABC around the university has a history of their officers power tripping like this, and they agreed to change their ways after a lawsuit 2 years ago. In the aftermath of that lawsuit, they also said their officers would wear body cameras. So far it seems that none of the officers who arrested Johnson were wearing body cameras.

Why would a 20 year old be trying to gain admittance to a bar? By all reports, this kid is pretty smart. Doesn't he know what the legal drinking age is? This kid is responsible for the little boo boo on his forehead. Not the "Racist" cops

Again, the cops didn't give him a boo boo on his forehead.... a guy who is supposed to enforce alcohol regulations on businesses went on a power trip and bashed his face into the pavement, get it straight.

Hmm, that article states that ABC officials retain police powers, perhaps the power to arrest some knucklehead.

Also I'd love to see your PROOF where it says they "bashed his face into the pavement"

I believe the cops account of the takedown, not some kid who was trying to sneak into a bar while being underage.

Got any video of that ?
Funny you mention video. The ABC in the area agreed to wear body cameras when they lost a lawsuit after pulling guns and trying to bash out the car windows of a group of girls suspected of buying beer underage. It was sparkling water, they were just wannabe cops on a power trip.
Odd that they weren't wearing the body cameras they agreed to wear after this incident 2 years ago.

Was there enough money in their budgets to pay for all the cameras ?
Like many other law enforcement agencies who also had the same problem ?

We should fully fund them then. After all, who else would protect us from all these dangerous underage kids trying to get a taste of the devil's drink. Thank god we have these hard working men to bash up kids faces, where would we be without their sacrifice.

Lots of people like you blindly believe anything the government and it's officials say.
I'll admit, I often, sometimes to a fault, tend to hold a natural distrust for the government and those who hold relatively unchecked power over citizens.
I could be wrong, but this doesn't look like it will end well for ABC.
