Everybody talking about wages, pension, but at my building it better not be at the expense of not fixing six punch. Everybody talking about everybody is in this together but this is bad!
All are important issues and a forced 6th is a no vote from me. It doesn't affect me right now, but it used to, and I know it sucks.

How about any holiday considered federal holiday we get the paid day off or working holiday other than memorial/labor/thanksgiving/Christmas which we already have

Fair enough because I don’t believe we will get anywhere near that.
You’re going about this all wrong. We hold the cards….more likely we get what we want. You already sound defeated as though we should just accept what they throw at us???? Get a back bone and demand it. Did they ask you to work during the Covid hoax, or threaten your job?

I seriously doubt we will see more than a buck an hour…but I’m being cautiously optimistic. We have never received more than a buck an hour and that buck is always in the last year…
With that line of thinking, that’s why we never got More than a buck an hour. You’re telling me that you’re ok with this company doubling their profits and you’re ok with the same raises that don’t keep up with inflation? Geezus Christ we’re screwed. Grow a pair

Sean has made a pretty big deal about getting the most money from UPS ever, and remember when we get a raise, so does our union. I don’t think a dollar a year will cut it we shall see.
Ups doubled their profits. Anything less than doubling our raises is BS

I've been 32 strikes I would never cross but we have to think about our younger brothers and sisters
That’s the whole point of the strike. I have one foot out the door. This battle is for the younger brothers and sisters bc since I’ve been here, WEVE LOST every contract. Can’t let that continue to happen to the younger ones. If we don’t do it, you think these spineless cowards these days are gonna stand up to UPS? Ha that’s funny.

It’s a war, expect some casualties. They are not just gonna give us money.

There has always been casualties…”Leave no man behind” is the Marines’ motto, ours is “People helping People”… over the years neither is applied during Contract time. The Company sees this and smirks.

Question today is whether it will happen again?

Are we willing to accept another subpar Contract, if the O’Brien team cannot get it done and we vote out of fear and greed it isn’t their fault it will be ours this time…after all we will be making the final decision with this vote.

UPS saw record profits from COVID and the stagnant stock shot to over $200 per share, management got bonuses and extra vacation while we got nothing but inflation and harassment.
This was on on the heels of the greatest contract ever that we voted down, and they forced that :censored2: on us anyway.
It will have to be a special contract to get a yes vote out of me.

Basic facts:

UPS Stock was valued around (37 dollars a share) in 2000...prior to the pandemic it was roughly (98 dollars a share)..
today it is valued at (178 dollars a share, the high mark was 220). Let us for same almost double...

Any management with 20 plus years in are set for life if they didn't screw it up, just from their own (Stock return)..MIP and the such. I still remember back when their stock went public overhearing a old time manager bragging that he just became a millionaire...Back in the early 90's it was selling at (30 dollars a share)...prior to the announcement I heard we had managers mortgaging their paid off homes in order to buy more stock..urban legend..who knows...

Sure they eliminated further funding into their own pension trusts..But the money was already in there to (set them for life). Back in the early 90's they were putting (10 X's) more monetary contributions into their plans compared to the (UPS Pension Plan) who had the same number of participants.

Have to agree this has to be a (Special Contract) in order to pass..O'Brien might be the real deal but there is still a lot of mistrust in the rank and file that we will be fooled again.

I remember the UPS heros banners, and lapel pins.
I remember the management team standing out and waving at us as we left to wade neck deep in a society where a mystery virus was killing people.
I remember the televised vaccine pickups & deliveries.
I remember being called essential.
We are heros and we are owed a good contract.

Maybe we all have forgotten that 2020 Covid year after all it was (3) long, long years ago. Remember those meetings at the White House that the top UPS Executives had to attend in order to prevent the same event that could happen at the end of (JULY)...?

The term "essential workers" is now passe...back to being called greedy parasites draining the Company's profits. A bit harsh statement but unfortunately that is the mindset of those making the decisions at the corporate levels.

Everybody was clueless back during those years, no one including the CDC even knew it was airborne. On B/C we had guys posting more correct information than we were getting from the so-called experts in Washington.

Could it play in with this Contract...We shall see...
