Raise in new contract

A lot of us are trying to figure out why the Southern Region has a tentative agreement saying an employee can lose their seniority after 3 days of not reporting to work.

We have problems in my building with management walking people out without giving them a reason or a written termination letter, making the employee think their fired, then actually firing the employees for no call no show.
My friend, that is why I am a Hell No on Southern supplemental.

I lost my :censored2: when I received the whole thing, I expected it to be weak, because we were the first supplemental finished, but that is unacceptable. Seniority is the most important factor in union membership, and to give the company the power to erase it is just bananas.

They better get back to the table tonight if that’s true.

That’s what I’m saying we’re going to be on strike because of this language. I guess at this point if it’s actually an agreement the only way forward is for the membership to vote it down. You can’t just go back on something once it is agreed upon.

I'm being told we agreed to 4x penalty pay for 9.5 violations. Still takes 3 violations in a week. HARD NO from me.
No change on 8 hr requests. This is weak AF

Remember when we were heroes and how are families were put at risk daily due to exposure? Remember how we were treated? Remember the checks we got for being front line employees? Oh wait…

Never got the check, got nonstop harassed and I still remember how I was treated. I love my job but am reminded often of the 20 g’s I was eligible for but never got. All it took was a signature on an app and 100’s of thousands of us could have gotten Covid money.

Sickening thinking about how many would have benefited.

In the QnA period it was confirmed that shortening the pay progression from 4yrs to 2yrs was a proposal on the table.
Correct but that was not part of his presentation of tentative agreement items with the company that was a question asked by a member if it was a proposal or not and he said yes, there is a proposal to shorten to 24 months
