Regional plane crashes with helicopter

If people are hired based on who they are instead of whether they are the most qualified, most capable, most experienced then should that be taken into consideration or should it be ignored? If you get on a plane which consideration above is the most important to you? I don't care what a person's race, gender, etc are as long as that person was not only the best they could find but his/her abilities are comparable with others doing the job who are the best they can be.

That is the real issue with DEI programs, the very fact that they have to discriminate against other races and gender in order promote hiring diversity. It just fortifies the notion that any female or minority is not qualified for that position. We all seen this practice in our workplaces, for example just how many women ever made a 25 year career in package car or feeders ? It was ridiculous seeing both the Company and the Union fall for this DEI scam. They talk it up to look good but it was never their intention to promote women and minorities into real executive/leadership position most were limited to the HR departments. We don’t live in lollipop land, this world has always been cutthroat, biological differences do exist, it doesn’t make one inferior to anyone else. (Yes Dorothy there are only 2 sexes)..That is why the Biden administration was pushing transgender and gay rights on our children..

Word from my son in law (ATC) is they think the helicopter pilots were looking at the departure aircraft and never saw the arrival.
Probably. Incomplete and improper voice commands. The ATC union (NATCA) was quick to blame the "system" and the Controller was expected to perform multiple duties simultaneously.

Quota filling hiring has been going on for over 50 years. As a college grad, veteran, white male, I experienced white women, black women and men, getting "the job" and not me.
The last application I filled out before getting on with UPS was an Aluminum Plant. Employed around 2000 people. The application had a "voluntary "page you could fill out. It had all the DEI boxes to check. By now, what I was going through and why I wasn't getting a job anywhere was obvious and laughable to me.
I wrote my first name as Pat,(not my real name) checked every minority box I could. I was a black disabled female. They called me for an interview. Killer. I never went. Doing casual at UPS.

What I saw during those times was a minority being promoted in order to fire another minority that the Company wanted to get rid of. The same principle was applied to female managers, I could also accurately predict who was going out the door and when. These Companies just promoted DEI to protect themselves, any criminal or fraudulent behavior would never be investigated because of the race or gender of the person in charge. Like you said these stuff has been happening for decades.. they just played like they truly cared about anyone’s rights, especially minorities and women.

I'm no expert, but with all that light in the area wouldn't that be useless?
Military grade optics filter intensities to maximize darkness and minimize brightness with thermal and light-spectrum technologies.
I'm familiar with 2000 era L3 night goggles for ground ops and they were incredible.
I'm certain these are vastly improved.

I haven’t blamed Trump and haven’t seen any other person or media outlet blame him for this incident. Sometimes :censored2: just happens. I reserve my complete judgment until the investigation is complete.
But you're sure quick to say it can't be blamed on DEI or Biden's policies. Belittle any suggestion that previous administration policies may be a culprit.
