Not speculating. Just saying we don't know the true nature of God. That the Old Testament has some striking similarities to Sumerian mythology. That our understanding of our past is increasing all the time with research. Everything isn't settled science and historical facts tend to evolve with new discoveries.

It’s good to speculate and this is an interesting thing to speculate about. I view this as adding to the settled sciences and historical facts not upending them. Creating a better picture for us. As for true nature of god, I speculate we have it all wrong. I don’t think whatever caused the universe is moral or sentient, but I could be wrong.
I view old religions as man’s way of explaining its observations back in the day, feeding that same drive scientists seek to satisfy finding answers to our questions.
My favorite question has always been Why?

Yes and that is why fundamentalist religion is dying in America. Most people don’t believe in non sense and know their God’s place, within the gaps of human knowledge. Praying is something I see some motorcycle YouTube rider do. I instantly turn it off, what a pusillanimous. I have never had to say a prayer and I ride way faster on my crotch rockets than these guys with their boomer cruisers.
