Because your reply is ridiculous. Religion says stop asking? Really? Maybe you're just not asking the right question. I mean, really, would you ask a philosophy professor to explain the deepest aspects of the internal combustion engine?
How about taking it for what it's worth. As far as religion and whatever it has to teach, the earth was created 10,000 years ago. Don't like that. Ok. But it really is beside the point. As far as your life today goes, science and religion are in agreement: the earth was formed long before you were born.

I replied with respect to asking questions of religion and you have me sided up with the Inquisition. Actually it's you who is closed minded and because of your limited experience with a very small part of what makes up "religion" you've got it all locked away at a local museum.

Religion is about control and it's a plague on mankind.
How big is "religion"? I think I know enough to guess that you have not delved deeply into all the world's religions. I mean, c'mon. You threw out that bit about "10,000 years old". That's pretty weak, juvenile argument stuff that college sophomores banter about while probing their new-found pseudo-intellectuallity (not sure that's even a word).
