"The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries."

Sir Winston Churchill
dont trust politicians for economic advice

standards of living rose under slavery too. and even though the bible endorsed slavery, jesus would not
Jesus never once told us to free the slaves. And standards of living may have risen for slave owners, but most people in slave states weren't slave owners and their standard of living was nothing compared to today under capitalism.

Do you support the use of slaves in colonial America?

no standards of living rose generally for slavery. so obviously standards of living rising is not justification for a system nor does it help it pass the satanic or not test.

No cars, planes, phones, tv, internet, washing machines, dryers, water heaters, air conditioning, dishwashers, bicycles, computers, hair dryers, synthetic fabrics, supermarkets, antibiotics, pacemakers, heart surgery, etc. We aren't talking about the rightness or wrongness of slavery. We're talking about did living standards rise under capitalism? You can't begin to compare quality of life in slave times with what we experience under capitalism. It's not even remotely close. All of the above were invented by those who saw a need and invented a product that would make them wealthy. Companies started, stock sold to raise capital, wealth created, and our lives easier and better for it. Imagine what someone on the Oregon Trail struggling for months would think of someone arriving in Portland in a few hours.

Honestly man you never think these things through. Capitalism equals innovation. And it has raised more people out of poverty than any other system. You want to stand in a circle holding hands singing Cumbaya more power to you. Just remember it was capitalism that created the communication devices and vehicles that got you together with your fellow Matrix dwellers.

The main test being the love of neighbor as thy self, no?
yea we need a system which minimizes worker abuse. where all workers follow the golden rule. we dont have that right now. my thoughts are power corrupts, so we need to have a 1 worker 1 vote system where the power is more evenly spread out.
