This is my problem with people saying that the protests are “mostly peaceful” with only a few taking advantage and tuning them into riots. There’s no self-policing amongst them. Standing by and watching is a tacit endorsement. Or even returning the chant of “didn’t see s__t, don’t say s__t”

Known sociopaths probably get a free pass for stuff like that.
I check them out from time to time. Haven't seen much in the way of right wing viewpoints from them. But they've always seemed to stay between center and center-left. Which is my personal comfort zone. So it's fine with me.

Saagar is a Republican. He’s more in his wheelhouse on COVID related policies and trade with China. Also illegal immigration, which they haven’t talked about in awhile.
Their YouTube content is limited since they left The Hill and went independent. You’d have to subscribe to the podcast to get the full content.

There should ABSOLUTELY BE zero difference as to how Americans should respect, consider, interact, and more (I'm doing a horrible job of explaining this-sorry) their fellow Americans. I don't care if a fellow American is the color green. ALL Americans should be treated the same. This is the main reason I cannot stand the liberal Democrat party. They've held down, imprisoned, and destroyed the character of the majority of black Americans by getting them addicted to the welfare system. Let's face it, if the government gives people their income through, "progressive policies" people will take the $ and learn to rely on it. I say cut off welfare for everyone that can hold a job. Guess what will happen. People WILL make it and they will benefit in amazing ways. Suffering is necessary. Suffering builds character and makes people overcome their life obstacles. I've suffered a lot and in many ways and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

I think it should be remembered that most of the looters and destruction /chaos in these mobs come from another area. They are opportunistic scum.
This administration wants to hang the January 6th protestors by their spheres (they should be held accountable) yet NEVER take aim, figuratively, at ANY rioters and looters at these other protests.

I've seen this before. I believe the point of the video was to highlight that it was the Republicans who were into ending slavery. I think it's more complicated than just that the north wanted to end slavery and the racist southerners just loved having African slaves so much they were willing to lay down the lives of their sons to keep them.
Imagine if you had millions tied up in equipment to run your business, and the government suddenly seized your equipment and you had to start paying to rent the equipment, you'd be pretty pissed too.
If the mechanical equipment to efficiently pick cotton were available at the time, and the money spent fighting the civil war was instead invested in modernizing the southern operations, I doubt there would have been a civil war. Sure, there would have been hold-outs, but they would have fallen in line eventually.
