In the context of war, and a country the size of Russia taking a territory the size of Ukraine, 2000 dead is almost nothing and shows a tremendous restraint to keep the body count down.

50,000 U.S. servicemen and some women died over the length of Vietnam. And hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese, if not millions. At the current rate Ukraine could easily top that.

Millions did die In SE Asia when our forces left the region.
The re-education camps and purges were the biggest sources of deaths.

Ukraine is going to lose a lot of life thanks to the zelensky government refusing to allow them to flee: this is literally all on them. It’s an unsinkable war against Russia: GAE just wants war. They want war with Russia. This is the new npc talking point and the soldiers have been activated.

Deplorables like us are defenseless and can be abused and oppressed and we can’t do much about it, but the state department has bitten off a pretty big piece here. The Russians won’t be abused. They shoot back. And they have nukes.
