The West has far surpassed the Muslim world in firepower so the only example I can think of an entire country being taken over by Muslims in the last century, forcing out the majority, is Lebanon. And some countries in Africa.I read something once that said once a country hits a certain % of Muslim population, there is no turning back from the state becoming Islamic. It was a low number too like 15%
I don’t know if you or @vantexan have heard this claim as well and can confirm or deny
Admittedly it was from a pretty racist source, and I tried looking it up again but can’t find anything on it, but it is a scary thought if true

The UK has had a reversal in politics too. Immigration is suddenly a hot topic. Unless you expect them to just breed their way to 51% in 20 years?I'll be they're the majority within 20 years of now
Putin sits on the world's biggest stockpile of nukes. If Russia didn't have nukes the West would've intervened with troops or at least bombing to stop the Ukraine war. So Putin has to be talked to and treated better than he deserves. And while Kim Jong Un doesn't pose as big a threat, he's right next to two of our allies. Any rogue nation with nukes has got to be taken seriously. Which is head scratching why Obama and Biden were doing their best to help Iran to get nukes. They of all countries would likely use them on offense rather than just to defend themselves. This makes me sick, I feel dumb for giving Trump a chance and credit with these negotiations
He is always disparaging and disrespecting our allies while sucking up to literal dictators.
By this post you would think Ukraine is the aggressor and Russia is the good guy. Putin is the literal dictator. Trump has his “love letters” with Kim Jong Un in his office, sucks up to Putin.him
I'm guessing he's putting pressure on Zelensky to relent and let Russia have the Donbas and Crimea. It appears Trump agrees with @DriveInDriѵeOut

I see your point, but between the sucking up and reneging on our deal to protect Ukraine in exchange for them giving up their nukes, I feel like we’re showing the rest of the world they need to build their own nukesPutin sits on the world's biggest stockpile of nukes. Going to war to back up a country who's fighting one of our biggest geopolitical enemies which has intercontinental ballistic nukes would be incredibly risky. We have much stricter obligations with our NATO allies but Ukraine has had to hope someone like Yeltsin was in power. With Putin this was inevitable as long as we didn't have a president with the spine to stand up to him. We're already seeing Putin is much more willing to negotiate with Trump than he was with Biden.I see your point, but between the sucking up and reneging on our deal to protect Ukraine in exchange for them giving up their nukes, I feel like we’re showing the rest of the world they need to build their own nukes
And that just seems dumb while Trump is trying to convince nations to not build them or slow down. Why would they?
Ukraine is small potatoes. If you’re counting on anyone else to fight your battles, it’s a huge mistake and absolutely just with what you’re listening to here if you have nukes, you’re taking seriously even North Korea. You’re right, but you have to put your foot down at some point right? If you’re counting on anyone else to fight your battles, it’s a huge mistake and absolutely just with what you’re listening to here if you have nukes, you’re taking seriously even North Korea. This is just how it is.
Short of an all out, ground war with us involved, Ukraine was never going to be able to completely beat Russia. We did not promise Ukraine we would commit suicide.
I think it’s obvious Russia would have completely taken over Ukraine at some point.
there has to be a point where we stand up to Russia and not let them continue taking over right?
True. Now the question is how do we go forward from here? If we make a deal and the war ends, and Russia continues after, what is the appropriate response?Isn’t that what’s happening right now?

Let them pay for itHopefully we'll be hearing something from Europe on that soon. It's their back yard. They've got the resources to be strong with and for Ukraine.
Let them pay for it
They have been on our tit for 75 years. It's not an unreasonable ask. A lot of people just weren't ready to hear it.
I read that they’re supposedly going to be coming through with an enormous defense package, we’ll see if that’s true, the number I read was staggering thoughHopefully we'll be hearing something from Europe on that soon.
