Russia Claims Ukraine Standoff Is Over

OK, but if you noticed I asked about whether Russia would leave on the promise of Ukraine not joining NATO. There was never a deal limited to that. Russia wanted everything their way. And I disagreed with Tucker on surrendering and I usually agree with him.

And the polls you mentioned?
Was the alternative better now that we know the outcome? Seems like they could’ve taken the deal and kept an eye on Russia and acted accordingly if Russia decided to break their deal. But Ukraine actually thought they were going to be in NATO
Actively sought it, knowing Full well that according to Russia, it would be an act of war.

The Baltic States, Finland, and Poland all are up against Russia and also in NATO. Why is it that Russia is so threatened by Ukraine being in NATO but not those other countries? Russia does not have the right to dictate what Ukraine can do except if, like Cuba getting nukes, we were to put nukes in Ukraine. But we could do that in the other countries too. And these days it's not even necessary with long range missiles. It was never about joining NATO. Putin coveted Ukraine, period.

Sure. Answer the question. Was the alternative better now that we know the outcome? What did they have to lose to see if Russia was serious about them just not joining NATO?

This is the fatal flaw in your argument. When we know will the United States government absolutely wanted this war. Putin is a bad guy. Kind of sucks that we are too.

They went through seven rounds of negotiations. They obviously weren't getting what they wanted. Putin could have pulled his army at any time. His problem was he thought he'd run over the Ukrainians just like they did Georgia. He had no incentive to leave then. He does now. The only thing standing against continued stalemate is if Trump pulls U.S. support from Ukraine. Putin doesn't want to leave without at least keeping the Donbas and Crimea. If Trump pulls his support Putin might get the whole country. The Ukrainians will likely concede territory before that happens. Don't be shocked if down the road Russia loses Siberia. They've been greatly weakened.

Got it. I guess some people feel it was well worth all the death and misery. The Ukrainians have suffered in order to be our personal Russia, weakener and political money laundering.. I can’t wait to raise my flag to that.

I wonder if you United States would be OK if Canada and Mexico joined Russia, Iran, and China in an alliance? Perhaps Ukraine is Russia line in the sand? Clearly, the United States must somewhat believe that because they’re not letting Ukraine and NATO after dangling in them like bait.

Hopefully after Trump gets done taking Greenland, we get Serbia too. 😉

The reason that would never happen is the same reason Ukraine wanted into NATO. The Eastern European countries joined NATO as soon as they could because the West meant freedom from domination by Russia. Exactly why Mexico and Canada won't ever join such an alliance, hypothetical or otherwise.

The Ukrainians aren't children. They went into this war knowing what it would likely mean for their country, and what it would mean for their future if they lost. Honestly I don't understand why so many wax patriotic about defending the U.S. to the bitter end but act like Ukraine's sovereignty doesn't mean squat. Do they love their country any less? One thing about the U.S. is it's a hodgepodge of races, ethnicities, and cultures. But the Ukrainians are a singular ethnicity with their own language. That's their homeland and they want to keep it.

No one says Ukraine can’t fight as much as they want. Difficult to know what the Ukrainian people want when they have a leader, who has basically turned himself into a dictator.

Again, I cannot reiterate enough if you believe the Biden administrations motives were not really to do anything for Ukraine, but for themselves. I don’t see how you thought a rotten egg could be made into a delicious omelette. Ukraine certainly got a rotten egg while a lot of people got very rich at their expense.

Can you honestly tell me if you were Ukrainian you would’ve wanted the Biden administration negotiating for you?

I don't disagree with that. Most of those billions spent went to our contractors. If Trump hadn't been screwed in 2020 it's highly likely they never had a war. But they did, not because Biden wanted a war, because Putin wanted it. Biden and company took advantage of it. The real war criminals are all the ones who benefited financially off all that.death and destruction.

I post a screenshot of him acknowledging the Western nations tanked the peace deal from 2 years ago ....

He still denies the facts.
What a tool.

No Lindsey.
You've seen them before.

Is this another case of your Alzheimer's, like when you claimed they never negotiated for peace, even though we've talked about it multiple times over the last few years?
No Vlad, first time I've seen you bring it up. If you posted before then surely you can post them again with your superior research skills.

Not anyone. Under their Communications Act of 2003 a little over 5000 people have been arrested for hate speech, inciting violence, etc. Not for openly expressing disagreement but trying to stir up violence towards particular groups. Pretty certain the things you've been saying about Jews would get you busted there.
yeah i bet, because they're a 3rd world country sliding into fascism, thank you for finally agreeing with me

Remember 9/11? There was a Sikh working at a convenience store in Arizona that was shot to death because some idiot thought because he wore a turban he was part of the group responsible for 9/11. I'm not worried about you. I'm worried about the people who are easily influenced to commit acts of violence by what they see online and hear on tv.

Jokes are fine. But catstalking hates Jews and constantly attacks them. There's a difference.

By the way the Ukrainians knew what was at stake if they gave up their essential liberty and have fought tooth and nail to preserve their freedom. Some are awfully cavalier about the freedom of others.
they hate me (and you) too and constantly attack us, where's your panicked concern for what they're doing?
