New class of drivers.They get 40 by combo of driving and PT inside work.Employees would be paid the lower 22.3 rate.DT will fill us in I am sure,With a big vote yes smile

We heard about this at our last union meeting.

The morning drivers would work the preload and then go on road for 3-4 hours while the evening drivers would go on road for 3-4 hours and then work the metro.

Lower pay rate.

It does make sense.

My building only calls them 22 jobs. Pays less than drivers rate, but not by a whole lot.

22.3's are about $6/hr less than a FT driver.

They told the union it means more ft jobs and they splooged all over themselves. Just like when they announced Saturday ground.

You ought to learn more about 4/10's.
The most senior drivers will get the Fri, Sat, Sun off.
The other drivers that bid into that "loop" may get a tues off or a wed off or a thurs off.
I knew someone who got a wed off. He thought it was ok cuz it broke the week up.

Moral of the story:
Not everyone gets fri, sat and sun off.

We are basically considered retail now. Not many retail shops make it being closed on the weekend. I don't like it. It's just the way it is.

I have a question ,does anyone know if it says in IBT constitution that the Union cannot enforce a Master agreement that has been voted down.Everyone says they cannot.It that in writing?

If the Master is voted down we would continue to work under the existing and we would vote again.
