Should part time employees make the same rate as full time employees?

Yeah, working 2200 hours a year as a part timer because I can't get a ft job means I deserve less.
Union used to mean solidarity, now it just seems to mean 'i got mine friend the rest of you'.
Thanks, "brother".
This makes the top 3 most ignorant posts ever.

Do you have any idea why, in 1981, PTers made the same rate as FTers?

I had 20 years seniority in 1997. I was there. Sounds like you were not. Tell us all about it.
I'm much more interested in why you think someone who wasn't there shouldn't know about anything. You're probably the reason they teach gender identity in schools instead of history. Turns out, knowing a little history can help you out in the future. So tell me, why is knowing a bit of history you weren't there for out of line?

And later deregulated the trucking industry which destroyed a lot of Union trucking companies in this country.
President Jimmy Carter signed the Motor Carrier Act in 1980. The legislation removed federal entry controls in interstate trucking and made it easier for carriers to reduce rates. President Carter’s signing statement predicted gains for consumers, shippers, and the trucking industry.

Increasing public interest in deregulation led to a series of federal laws beginning in 1976 with the Railroad Revitalization and Regulatory Reform Act. The deregulation of the trucking industry began with the Motor Carrier Act of 1980, which was signed into law by President Carter on July 1, 1980.
