How are those conservative policies working out for your Native American people?
Most Native Americans are a mixture these days. We've assimilated for the most part. Those who choose not to in reservations like Pine Ridge have it difficult. As long as you cling to the past wrongs you'll never go forward. I think the increased rate of interracial marriages is a good sign. When we're even more mixed racially and related we can stop worrying about skin color and worry about what really matters, family feuds.

So the plan of Native American genocide by European settlers has worked.

Most of it came through accidentally introducing disease. If you look at Mexico 30% of the population is pure indigenous. Large native populations in South America, particularly in the Andes. And the Spanish were harder on native populations than anyone. There were racist bastards in the U.S. bent on killing Native Americans of course. But we sure are a funny people genocide wise, what with making treaties and setting aside reservations. Yes I know all about our history with treaties. But rather than genocide, it was war, and many tribes fought whites tooth and nail. Rather than just kill them all whites made peace. Ask why there are few indigenous in Argentina today. They actually sought to kill them all down there. The world is a complicated place with many exceptions to the rule. Everything that's gone on in this country has gone on elsewhere. And not just by whites killing poor defenseless people of color. There was a time when people of color were riding roughshod over Europe. Numerous times actually. And over each other in every corner of Earth. But that's not the narrative some want to push today.

Actually history is my thing. Gandhi led India for decades. There are protests all over the U.S. on college campuses these days. Exactly what are you wanting, riots in the streets? Burning buildings, smashing windows? And to what end? Quite a few times, like in Ferguson, that's a result of misinterpreting facts. Is that what you're after, anarchy? MLK died trying to obtain equal rights and inclusiveness. Bet he'd be pretty upset at the liberal policies that have hurt so many African American families. And I doubt he'd be thrilled with the militancy that further divides our communities.

So its not ok for the white people to steal the land from the Lakota but it was ok for the Lakota to steal it from the Cheyenne tribe? Indian tribes were constantly fighting over land before the white man was even a factor. Whitey isn't the root of all evil---he just happened to win the war. I've been in the Rosebud Reservation and the Pine Ridge Reservation and as far as I'm concerned its just another group of bums who refuse to get off their butts and take advantage of all that is available to them (including free college education, free meals, and free transportation). They would rather stay drunk or stoned 24/7 rather than go accomplish something. I don't feel sorry for them one bit.

It is my understanding that Gary Busey is Lakota.......do you want to see a head case like that be in charge of anything?

Hey remember when everyone claimed the Snoopes.com was the best place to verify something. Well, they aren't .

‘Hookers, lies and fraud’: Snopes ‘in danger of closing doors’

So-called “fact-checking” website Snopes.com is reportedly on the verge of financial collapse since one if its founders has been accused of using company cash to fund his contentious divorce and to pay for fancy vacations with his new wife, a former escort and porn actress.

The financial situation has apparently become so dire that Snopes owner David Mikkelson launched a crowd-funding website to solicit donations, according to London’s Daily Mail. Readers contributed more than $500,000 in just the first 24 hours.

As WND has reported, Snopes.com, a website that’s been around since 1995, is sometimes cited by other “fact-checking” sites to support their claims. Facebook has even indicated it plans to use Snopes as one of its arbiters of “fake news.” But WND revealed the site has been criticized by conservatives for a left-leaning bias and admits it has no standard procedure for fact-checking.
