Of the 170 arrested bail was set at a high of $78 to a low of $10 while others were released on their own recognizance which was most of them. While at the Capital roughly 400 of the estimated 800 who breached capital security boundaries have been identified, apprehended and booked with possible charges of sedition gaining traction.
Law enforcement is sending a clear message to those who may be considering launching a second attack and that message is that you cannot attack the US Capital with impunity. It will be dealt with swiftly and harshly. And they don't give a flying face fornication about how good your skills as a corporate and political apologist might be. The same holds true with the city rioters. Questions of whether jurisdiction over the matter rests with federal, state or local law enforcement will be determined and handled accordingly.

But as for the assault on the capital.... there's absolutely no doubt about whose jurisdiction this matter lies with.

Many of those jailed were non-violent protesters who refused to leave when ordered, or were arrested for curfew violations set up to take away the right to protest.

You really need to open a history book. Rome conquered Europe and ruled with an iron fist. Then Christianity spread through the Roman population and ultimately its leadership. The church became centered in Rome. It's influence affected how Rome ruled going forward just as it's influence affected ultimately the many pagan peoples Rome conquered. Paxa Roma, the peace of Rome, allowed Christian priests to move through the farthest reaches of the Roman empire. This isn't some point about the superiority of Christianity, just a summation of what actually happened. But people like you who hate Christianity don't want to acknowledge historical fact, you just want to extinguish history and start over with a suppression from memory any reference to what happened before. You do understand that we're not going so much on tax revenue now as we are on just printing trillions of dollars? And you do understand that corporations don't ever really pay taxes? That no matter what they pay the government they pass that cost to the consumer? So who ultimately pays in your scenario? However, as happened every time it's been done in the past, Federal revenue actually increased after Trump's cuts. As John friend. Kennedy himself stated, the resulting financial and commercial activity that results when people see the opportunity to keep more of what they make always results in more revenue for the government. But tax and spend liberals also want the control that goes along with high taxes. You never learn.
