If you want to run a campaign against the current administration I have no issue with that. Where I do have an issue is when the campaign is spear head by an organization that has a documented history of trying to overthrow the government. I guess now you will say the FBI lies and spins? I also have an issue of said organization forcing political and economic ideals on a group of Teamsters. I also have an issue with local TDU people making slanderous and libelous comments and accusations of close friends of mine. As for P(ussy)aff, when its all said and done, not 1 person including the man himself, can tell me what Paff's vested interest in the Teamsters is. Everyone skates around and ignores the question. Even hard core (if that's possible) TDU stooges don't have an answer. Doesn't that scare you?

People said Hoffa and Hall sold us out? I think WE as a group did that already. WE are responsible for showing UPS our weakness. UPS can smell it. So I want to thank everyone that can't seem to get beyond selfishness and wait 6 more GD days!! Blame anyone you want, WE do it to ourselves. I thought there was a Team in Teamster.

We're going around in circles at this point. I'm not going to dissect this ^, but you're wrong in thinking that WE'VE made ourselves weak. We're not at the bargaining table. We weren't in charge of what was and wasn't on the table at various stages of the negotiation process. If there's weakness in the union, it's from whoever is leading the negotiations, and whoever is not making the company honoring our contracts, not those that vote on them after the fact.

Why has the company gotten away with not honoring the last contract fulfilling the combo positions? Because of our weakness?

This weakness doesn't stem from the rank and file. Don't get it twisted. It stems from the people whom we've voted in that are supposed to have our interests at heart. This is why I can't trust our leaders 100%. They've given me enough cause not to.

You haven't been reading my post very carefully. I don't have a major problem with the democratic system in place for our union.
But, I hold those in office to the highest standard I can. They fought hard to win their positions and their salaries and their perks. Most (In my humble opinion) become lazy after just a few years in office. They need to be challanged often. They need to be thrown out of office often.
My dad used to tell me that there wasn't any differance between the Democrats and Republicans because after a while in office they become politicians who no longer care about the good of the public, but they only care about being re-elected.
So you see, if TDU was in charge, I would be challenging them too. I just hold my elected officers to the standard I think they should be held to. The highest standard.
Unlike stink, 407 and bug who believe it is their guy or nothing.
