The Ballot mess!

Wouldn't the prudent thing to do if you are Mr. Hoffa is wait until his members are protected from the A.C.A. before he agreed to put us in this "unsustainable" plan? Why is he and hall still pushing us into this plan when they know we need protection against ObamaCare? In addition, couldn't the Riders that are remaining have language that stops the progress of their members going into the Taft Hartley Plan. i.e., All bargaining unit employees will go into the said Master language regarding Health care upon the date of legislation allowing exemptions for Taft Hartley Plans. Until such legislation passes bargaining Unit employees shall remain in their current Health plans.

The answer is no you don't like it but you're going to be in it soon. You will stomp up and down but in the end it will get you no where.

First off how do know what plan I'm currently in?
Secondly because we disagree with each other doesn't make one a good teamster and the other a bad one.
Third of all the entire country voted on the move into the UPS/IBT Pension Plan last contract which affected them. I didn't hear any complaints about that from anyone. Regardless of what you think you know it had affects on them just like the bump in that same plan this contract.
Lastly it is my opinion they did what they felt was the right move for everyone. Leaders have to do some things that can sometime be very unpopular but it the right thing in the long run for all. You shouldn't pass judgement on them like you are. In my opinion
The New England and Atlantic regions voted it in and they are not affected by it. Why do you tell untruths and trash others as hypocrites?
A good teamster supports other teamsters even if they don't agree. You just stir up the members with half truths. Maybe you're in management? Only makes us wonder why you hide where you're from.

Members have to do things that are unpopular sometimes too to correct bad leadership and if you look at how Ohio voted (twice), you, and your opinions, are in the minority.

Buckeye land brother. Otherwise, I wouldn't be reading up on the Ohio issues.
These threads are monotonous tho. I have to admit that. Lol
PS/ If you'd use a period between sentences it would be easier to follow what you're trying to say. IMO :)

They should be willing to strike if they feel that strong about
I shouldn't be surprise they aren't
No one with common sense wants to strike.
I'm guessing that people are trying to leave a dent in the IBT limo to remind the powers that be that they expect more communication and "respect" when the next contract rolls around.
That's only what I see.

Stink, again what's your point?

I think his point is that you boys in 908 413 and 100 might be in the dark. Do you representatives have a good relationship with anyone at the international that might be willing to go out on a limb and give a heads up? Or have you burned all your bridges?

You forgot 637 and 20 who narrowly passed it by a meager 20 some votes last time. You are still the minority 407.
What does that say to you? Wake up.

A heads up to what and why would they want to guard a "secret" that would help pass these riders that they obviously so desperate to do?
You make no sense.

Might want to use your HC for a vision check. IBT limo's only exist in the vivid imaginations of TDU editors(and the gupppies that take the bait).

The real problem is the relationship that the international has with it's members, a great disconnect. People are getting tired of taxation without representation, the union should be working for everybody not just those who were chosen to be on the negotiation committees. This contract like the last one favors a certain status quo, it does not consider all it's members.

As far as those locals, I have more respect for them when they do question authority than the "Bootlicking unions" who expect a favor or perk in return for getting out the yes vote.

I my opinion this vote is not only our health and welfare changes, there is a great feeling of resentment on how we been treated over the last 10 years by both parties. All of them have lost touch with the working class, they really need to come down and mingle with us peasants, get a little dirt under their fingernails.

So you're voting no because you feel that the IBT leadership should come and mingle with you?

Loneliness is why you're holding up my raise?

Nay, you know and I know they do not want to. I have a lot of reasons I voted "no", knowing the leadership by their first name is not one of them.

It is all about "my raise" isn't it.

Well I'm happy with my healthcare and other bennies so it wouldn't be about that. What is at issue is a small minority who are not happy who are holding back any kind of progress for the majority, including our raises.
