The Ballot mess!

Well I'm happy with my healthcare and other bennies so it wouldn't be about that. What is at issue is a small minority who are not happy who are holding back any kind of progress for the majority, including our raises.

John, it was before my time but there is a reason we have riders and supplements. The majority did not even bother to vote one way or the other, those who voted are the small minority. Even if the Ohio passes it will be a very, very long time till we get any raises.

I believe there was more thought and seniority behind every "no" vote. It would be fun to break the votes down by seniority and full time/part time status.

Speak softly and carry a big stick.
You feel that no votes were more thoughtful and were made by FTers. Well, unfortunately for you, PTers pay union dues too, their votes count just as much.

I understand everone wants their money, and to some of you, that 70 cents is a big deal. But you got to keep in mind.......That we are fighting for Fulltime jobs, harassment, and other issues. That will greatly benefit you in the future. We have to fight just like the previous generations did, so that we dont lose any ground!

Look at it this way....

All members dues, are based on a percentage of their hourly rate.

Part-timers get a full share vote.

But, on average.... their monetary dues contribution is substantially less.

Think about it.

The best part is that Cruz doesn't even have to misquote or take Hoffa out of context. Hoffa did make a great case against Obamacare (are you still in denial about that?) so Cruz just quotes him word for word. Notice Hoffa made no attempt to change or correct the letter he wrote that's causing him such a headache now.

Been a damn 9 months since "letter gate 2013". If you think things change with a finger snap, I guess your living in fantasy land.

So how long do we have to wait till Hoffa's words count?

So, what's changed in the ACA that will make Taft Hartley Plans sustainable?
That's right, you have to be in the right local to be "in the know"?
What a poorly timed, well guarded secret.

Not saying he didn't write the letter. But they are working on an exemption. We gotta bypass the 2015 and 2016 tax hit. 25 Billion is a lot of cake, but so is losing the next Presidential election. Dems will put some pressure on Obama as well.

So your saying we should jump into the deep end of the pool, then learn how to swim?

Big Brother will catch you?

Nope. I'm saying your having a black and white view of how these changes come about. Are you saying you'll rather rely on a company that will stick it to you at every turn?

That letter was signed by three union presidents, each putting worst case scenario on what could possibly happen to the worst performing plan. It also states that we could not get 40/hrs/week. That is not going to happen at UPS either.

You all no'ers must be on the glass half empty side on things.
