The Ballot mess!

On a more anecdotal note: My representative, the ever-so-wise (R) Sam Brownback of Kansas voted No in 2007 on H.R. 800 which provided for:

The measure did not pass, as Kansas is an overwhelmingly red state. Likewise, our schools are currently laying off teachers and shutting down programs because their funding was cut to provide for a tax-break for the "job-creators," that is to say, households making over $200,000 a year.

And @ Atomic_smurf RTW is RTW for less. Facts are the RTW workers make 10-30% less than non-RTW.

Housing, energy, food & other goods also cost less in those states & many of those States had smaller wages before RTW. It is in most cases why the law was passed & why their wages are increasing while others remain stagnant. You've been spoon fed this garbage by the same bunch of liberals that told you Obamacare was going to be awesome for workers.

How could anyone think or say RTW is pro work? That is one of the most ridiculous statements. Wages are less, workplace injuries are higher, higher poverty and infant mortality, less investments in education, higher workplace deaths just to name a few. How could any person say its pro worker union or not.
You forgot more tornadoes. There are more tornadoes in RTW states & that's a fact.

I know, I live in Kansas. Did you hear about that one time a young girl got kidnapped by one and had to find her way home? We're all still pretty miffed about that.

With Kansas being a RTW state the girl was lucky to have lived long enough to be picked up by a tornado. She should just be happy about it.

Yes, lack of bargaining rights= children dying in the street en masse. You've summarized my argument handily. /sarcasm

Back to what we were talking about, I was asked to name one republican who was anti-union, I threw out links to two union busting laws sponsored by 2 different republicans and pointed out that red states are invariably RTW, while states where republicans hold less power are almost always Free bargaining. The poster that said I couldn't name one anti-union republican has since disappeared.

Or we can talk about Kansas, that works too.

Lets talk about Walker. He was elected by his state to get their fiscal house in order & that meant standing up for tax payers instead of cowering to public sector unions & their demands. See, when private sector unions bargain they are bargaining against an evil for-profit business where as public sector unions are bargaining against the tax payers of their states. There has to be some sanity & common sense & Walker is living proof of what real leadership can do for the solvency & economic security of a state, even during a time of failed leadership on the national level.

My question to you Johnny P, Is it "ant-union" to deny an exemption for unions from the health care legislation that they supported, stumped for & demanded only to leave non-union workers to suffer the consequences alone? The left would say it is anti-union. Do you?

Unions were formed on people wanting to have a safe work environment and the 40 hour work week to name a few. You being a republican would t understand this.

Bush set us back twenty years.
Actually Americas workforce has shrank to its smallest in 30 yrs under the reign of king Hussein. Even Pelosi says that expanding the number of people on food stamps is the best stimulus program, so don't hate on Bush for that.

I understand more in one day than you will in your life & am proud of what unions have done for working conditions throughout history. You, being a low-information Obama bitter clinger, could never wrap your mind around that.
