The Border Crisis: Is Allowing Illegals To Flood In A Good Thing?

I know it’s Radical but maybe not letting anyone just crash the border without vetting. I think it is called legal immigration and I think that’s how it was always suppose to be but somehow that is now “Radical”.
It's radical to stop the Democrats from violating the Constitution to grab power.

Again, all the authority needed to secure the border and remove illegal immigrants was given to the president by Congress in 1952. Democrats are aware of this. It was the same law Obama used that earned him the nickname Deporter-in-Chief.

The new bill is a compromise to get Ukraine funding in exchange for allowing up to 5000 illegal immigrants to enter a day. It calls for removing illegals above that number. This is just a cynical attempt to flood the country with an overwhelming number of immigrants in a short time and change the balance of power in the Democrats favor.
It also provides free lawyers for those illegals.

Even if Trump wins, get ready for "they are here, they should stay". Country club GOP already want to continue 5k a day coming in.

Why is a new bill needed? Biden reversed every executive order Trump issued concerning the border. Just put those back in place. And Congress gave the president the power to control the border and remove illegal aliens in 1952. Everything Biden needs is already there. Trying to put it on Republicans to "fix" the border is just election year politics. And keeping the flow down to 5000 a day isn't fixing anything.
Wouldn’t it best to get a LAW passed so that if a dyed in the wool pinko commie lib gets elected that he or she wouldn’t be able to just defund ICE or something?

Take a win.

But you won’t. Because you and all the other righties don’t actually care about solving problems if it helps Biden.

Yep. Codifying that into law doesn’t seem like a good idea. We also shouldn’t assume that a Democratic President would necessarily act in good faith to enforce the law. For example, if restrictions start at 5,000 in per day over a week, Biden’s border patrol could just stop “encountering” and counting illegals before they get to that number.

You are like a desperate used car salesman trying to get someone to accept the offer he has given while telling the person what a great deal they are getting. If something is such a great deal you don’t have to keep telling them while trying to pressure them to hurry and sign. The deal sucks for border security and you know it.

Why is enforcing our laws now “Radical“ to Democrats?
The issue is that the president is enforcing the law. The law is broken. The law itself is flawed. This new bipartisan legislation works to fix that.

But Donald doesn’t want it because it helps Joe look good, so it’s dead in the water.

Biden has made no effort in the last three years to secure the border. Has fought efforts to secure the border. Had his Homeland Security Secretary lie to Congress that the border was secure. And for Pete's sake, the law from 1952 grants the president all the power he needs to secure the border. This isn't about helping Biden. We've already got at least 8 million illegals in the last three years. This compromise bill would still allow almost 2 million a year in. Total joke and no matter how you spin it the public is on to the problems it is causing.

By the way NYC just announced they're giving $53 million to illegals on credit cards. This from a city that says it's going broke with all the new arrivals. How do you think that makes the city's poor residents feel?

Ok, the deal isn’t perfect. So instead we should let the problem fester for at least another full YEAR with the hope that Trump is reelected so that he MIGHT do something productive and lasting about it.

Not persuasive.

What Biden is going to do is run on this do-nothing Congress a la Harry Truman. Good luck.

It allows them to exempt anyone they want to:

It allows them to suspend the limit anytime they want to:

And just in case Trump ever gets this authority, it limits his authority more and more every year:

If he is “enforcing the law“ then we have no need for another bill! Thanks for the confirmation that we already have laws in place to do the job.

The law allows the president to act in exactly the manner the executive branch is acting right now. If that’s a problem for you then the law itself should be changed.

A bad deal is worse than no bill! This has been going on for a decade according to Biden (latest revelation since the border is secure he was spewing) so another year we can live with for a chance at a good deal. The desperation of the democrats says it all.

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.

Bill is dead, and rightly so. The president could close the border today under current law. This is an Ukraine funding bill, it will do nothing for border security. It’s the biggest scam since the vaccine.

How is it broken when Trump had the border secure? People had to wait in Mexico for their hearing. Couldn't just melt into the population and not show up for their hearing years later. And the asylum hearing process is being defrauded. The vast majority of these people aren't eligible for asylum and under international law they aren't supposed to travel to a far country to seek asylum anyways. The only thing that's broken is Democrats taking advantage of a loophole to get millions in. Yeah, tell people all over the world that the welcome mat is out. Give them money, transport, and a cellphone and tell them we'll contact them eventually. Name one country on Earth that's doing similar right now, welcoming millions in a short time and supporting them? Of all the hare brained schemes Dems have come up with this may be the one they'll be talking about centuries from now.

Watching the Morning Joe replay from today. Chuck Schumer is telling Mika that it's Trump and Putin's fault that House Republicans don't like the bill.

So it’s better that we will see “open borders” continue for another full year, at least?

Way off base here. This is really stretching. The border law was still broken under Trump. Trump’s cruel family separation was ugly and other aspects of his policy were challenged in court.
