The religion of peace strikes again...

"A tyrant must put on the appearance of uncommon devotion to religion. Subjects are less apprehensive of illegal treatment from a ruler whom they consider god-fearing and pious."

"Big Fella"
reproduced in full here:This was written by a Canadian woman, but oh how it also applies to the U.S., U.K. And Australia. Here is a woman who should run for Prime Minister!
Written by a housewife in New Brunswick, to her local newspaper. This is one ticked off lady.

'Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001 and have continually threatened to do so since?
Were people from all over the world, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan , across the Potomac from the nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania ?
Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they?
And I'm supposed to care that a few Taliban were claiming to be tortured by a justice system of the nation they come from and are fighting against in a brutal insurgency.
I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.
I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere belief of which is a crime punishable by beheading in Afghanistan
I'll care when these thugs tell the world they are sorry for hacking off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.
I'll care when the cowardly so-called 'insurgents' in Afghanistan come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques and behind women and children.
I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of Nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide bombs.
I'll care when the Canadian media stops pretending that their freedom of speech on stories is more important than the lives of the soldiers on the ground or their families waiting at home to hear about them when something happens.
In the meantime, when I hear a story about a CANADIAN soldier roughing up an Insurgent terrorist to obtain information, know this:
I don't care.

When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank:
I don't care.

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and 'fed special food' that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being 'mishandled,' you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts:
I don't care.

And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled 'Koran' and other times 'Quran.' Well, Jimmy Crack Corn you guessed it,
I don't care!!

If you agree with this viewpoint, pass this on to all your E-mail friends.? Sooner or later, it'll get to the people responsible for this ridiculous behavior!
If you don't agree, then by all means hit the delete button. Should you choose the latter, then please don't complain when more atrocities committed by radical Muslims happen here in our great Country! And may I add:
'Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But, the Soldiers don't have that problem.'

I have another quote that I would like to add, AND........I hope you forward all this.
Only five defining forces have ever offered to die for you:

  • Jesus Christ
  • The British Soldier.
  • The Canadian Soldier.
  • The US Soldier, and
  • The Australian Soldier
One died for your soul, the other 4 for your freedom.

Why so many people (mostly religious) so afraid of gay marriage and the consequences of it(nothing).

Just another,

Here is what you do not understand.

Tired of having your beliefs shoved down our throats with no respect for our beliefs.

For me --nothing to do with religion --just reality.

1. Marriage is between a man and woman this is my belief.
2. straight is what non gay people are
3. gay is what non straight people are

Not saying what is better or worse --but they are DIFFERENT. Gay is spelled with a G --Straight is spelled with an S.

If gays do not like the term civil union with all rights and benefits --than name it gayarrage or whatever THEY would like --except a term already used by straights.

WHAT IS Next on the forced agenda ?? -call every ONE straight because they do not like to be called "gay" ????

Again gay is gay --be gay and be proud---straight is straight--will never be the same ---tired of people forcing their views that we must accept that everything is the same . A car is a car --a plane is a plane -placing a penis into a vagina will always be different that placing a penis into an anus---clear enough. No religion, no fears, no discrimination --just calling things for what they are -REALITY.

In my state I voted just last year to give gays ALL rights and benefits as straight ---obviously this is not enough --now I am being FORCED to vote for Marriage or I am labeled as a hater and homophob. ????????

p.s. I do feel this discussion does not belong on this thread.

Summation of an "End Times" sermon on any typical Sunday Morning church service?

And the closing hymn is always, "I'll Fly Away Oh Glory!"
Not in my church.

My favorite was 'Make Me a Channel of Your Peace' (The prayer of St. Francis)
It was performed at Princess Diana's funeral. I loved it when we got to sing that one. When it was nothing special, "Holy God We Praise Thy Name" was a standard exit hymn.

hi island1fox,
if you are tired or feeling that I shove anything down on "your" throat(s), just ignore/skip/report my post. I don't force anything on anybody just sharing/expressing stuff, please quote my posts where I forced anybody to change his/her belief. Don't take my posts too personally/seriously.
My buddy posted the pic on FB and I thought it was funny so I shared with you guys, but seems like it doesn't get that many "likes" here than on FB. :D
Anyway it was a picture with a humor IMO, I am sorry if you didn't feel it that way.

Just another,

My response was not just in reaction to your post on this topic. It is in response to all that do not consider and respect all opinions whether they agree or not.

It was certainly infered if not stated that you must be some religious nut if you do not support gay marriage that cannot possibly have any consequences.

It reflects many liberal people that have big tents where choice and ideas are valued and welcomed as long as you agree with them

Otherwise you are a racist, hater, homophob or religious nut.
