As of Sept. 2016 her record was 477.59 miles per hour (one way) so I imagine she was trying to beat that. She wanted to top 500 mph. At those speed I imagine a crash wouldn't be pretty.

I remember a couple of years ago, the doctors said she had a month or two to live. The doctors always forget to factor in 'spunk', stubbornness, and other factors that can't be figured in. Good for you Valerie, you showed them!!!
