Cheryl, I’m so sorry for the loss of your life partner, husband and best friend. My prayers are with you, your daughter and grandson. I’m glad you have many happy memories of adventures with Tony.

Rest in peace brother. I always admired the way you could cut through the smoke and din and focus right in on any particular subject, and a few posts later, have me laughing out loud. You will be missed.

@cheryl

once again sorry for your loss. even though I don't personally know you it seems like I know you and wish
I could do something for you.

is there a charity or org.com that you and your family is involved in?

Tony was big into visiting and donating to Galapagos islands preservation support. We visited there twice over the last few years. We visited with and swam with the animals. We swam over hundreds of nurse sharks with their babies. We swam with the gigantic turtles and they swam right up to us to see what we were. The water iguanas were not scared of us at all. On land I had a huge seal come up and try to sit on my lap. None of the animals were afraid of humans at all because humans are not allowed to hunt or hurt them. It was a really amazing experience and he really wanted to go back again, but now he's gone...

He donated money to the Galapagos preservation project a few times over the last couple of years, so you could do that. Really though, I think you should support whatever is important to you.

Okay. Thanks for responding. It's nice to learn a little about the people who created this.
My parents handed down a legacy of helping people. We like to support children's and youth groups like St Judes, Shriners. Boy Scouts, Big Brother and Sister and homeless shelters and Gospel Missions that feed the homeless or help families in need.

With everything wrong in the world we feel this is the best way to help. I spent over 50 years in Scouting in personal participation but now mainly to my spouses health ( cancer and strokes ) I am almost a 24 hour a day caregiver. It's just part of life.

We love animals and nature and would be glad to help the Galapagos Preservation Project.

Sad. And she was supposed to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame tomorrow.

Wow. I was not expecting this. I thought something not so messy like a pill overdose. Horrible for her daughter to have to be the one to find her.
