Just got my Home insurance renewal and it very nearly doubled, Have only had one claim in 20+ years back in 2017. This is wild.

I had to change my insurance I've had for over 30 years. Liberty Mutual (Safeco) bought my old insurance company and my rates would have tripled. New company is a couple of hundred more for home but cheaper on auto so I about broke even.

I went with Auto-Owners insurance. It is only in the Midwest I think and only sold through brokers but seems to be very good. A couple of people I talked to who had them liked them.

We currently have a broker looking for us hopefully he finds something a little cheaper. Honestly, we have State Farm now and they seem to be more interested in making commercials than paying claims.
