Comedy Store founder and owner Mitzi Shore has died ... TMZ has learned.
Mitzi, the mother of Pauly Shore, died in L.A. Wednesday morning after battling an unknown neurological disorder for years.
Mitzi's Comedy Store was the launching pad for some of the biggest comics in the world, including Robin Williams, Richard Pryor, David Letterman, Jay Leno, Jim Carrey, Chris Rock, Arsenio Hall and Roseanne Barr.

A real man and a Marine died today, his death has brought tears to my eyes.

What a great guy he was. I met him on board the USS Missouri in Hawaii just after he had finished filming an episode of Mail Call. I had snuck into the closed off filming area after I had noticed him. The wife thought we would get in trouble but I told her I had never been thrown off a battleship before and it would be worth it. We talked for about 10 minutes and he insisted my wife get more than just one picture of him and me because he wanted to make sure we had a good one. Rest in Peace R. Lee Emery--you will always be remember as one of the highlights of my life.
