The Russians Are Coming, The Russians Are Coming!

Donald Trump is the new Benedict Arnold

"Imagine, for a moment, that President Franklin D. Roosevelt had met with the Japanese delegation just hours after the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. Imagine FDR saying: “My people came to me — they said they think it’s Japan. But I have the Japanese ambassador and he just said it’s not Japan. I will say this: I don’t see any reason why it would be.”

FDR would have been whisked out of office by a unanimous vote.

Obviously, the Russians didn’t sink the jewel of our Pacific fleet or kill thousands of Americans. But what they did was worse in a way: They attacked the heart of our nation, the American ideal that our government is and ought to be of the people. They spotted our weakness and they exploited our divisions for their own purposes. They sowed dissension, and made us question the legitimacy of our democratic process.

The Russians may not have been instrumental in Trump’s election, but they have succeeded beyond their wildest dreams. The American president is a man who wants to be just like Vladimir Putin.

Step aside, Benedict Arnold. There’s a new champion traitor in town."
So it was the Russians that caused the Dems to react like spoiled rotten, overgrown children? Damn Russians!

Fox Host Calls Trump's Presser Performance 'Disgusting,' 'Wrong'

"During his Fox Business Network show Monday, host Neil Cavuto called President Donald Trump’s failure to denounce Russian President Vladimir Putin for the Russian interference in the 2016 election “disgusting,” saying that the presser “set us back a lot.”

“That made it disgusting. That made his performance disgusting,” Cavuto said of Trump’s refusal to even criticize the Russian President. “Only way I feel. Not a right or left thing to me. It is wrong.”

“A U.S. President on foreign soil talking to our biggest enemy or adversary or competitor, I don’t know how we define them, essentially letting the guy get away with this, not even offering a mild, a mild criticism,” he continued. “That sets us back a lot.”

SASC CHAIRMAN JOHN McCAIN ON TRUMP-PUTIN MEETING - Press Releases - United States Senator John McCain

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator John McCain (R-AZ), Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, released the following statement today on President Trump’s meeting and press conference with Vladimir Putin in Helsinki:

“Today’s press conference in Helsinki was one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president in memory. The damage inflicted by President Trump’s naiveté, egotism, false equivalence, and sympathy for autocrats is difficult to calculate. But it is clear that the summit in Helsinki was a tragic mistake.

“President Trump proved not only unable, but unwilling to stand up to Putin. He and Putin seemed to be speaking from the same script as the president made a conscious choice to defend a tyrant against the fair questions of a free press, and to grant Putin an uncontested platform to spew propaganda and lies to the world.

“It is tempting to describe the press conference as a pathetic rout – as an illustration of the perils of under-preparation and inexperience. But these were not the errant tweets of a novice politician. These were the deliberate choices of a president who seems determined to realize his delusions of a warm relationship with Putin’s regime without any regard for the true nature of his rule, his violent disregard for the sovereignty of his neighbors, his complicity in the slaughter of the Syrian people, his violation of international treaties, and his assault on democratic institutions throughout the world.

“Coming close on the heels of President Trump’s bombastic and erratic conduct towards our closest friends and allies in Brussels and Britain, today’s press conference marks a recent low point in the history of the American Presidency. That the president was attended in Helsinki by a team of competent and patriotic advisors makes his blunders and capitulations all the more painful and inexplicable.

“No prior president has ever abased himself more abjectly before a tyrant. Not only did President Trump fail to speak the truth about an adversary; but speaking for America to the world, our president failed to defend all that makes us who we are—a republic of free people dedicated to the cause of liberty at home and abroad. American presidents must be the champions of that cause if it is to succeed. Americans are waiting and hoping for President Trump to embrace that sacred responsibility. One can only hope they are not waiting totally in vain.”

Another Never Trumper. And well documented Trump hater.

If he was on Putin’s payroll, I’d agree with you, otherwise Trump is just bumbling his way through this.

He’s an entertainer, not a successful businessman, not a politician.

He doesn’t know what he’s doing, which is becoming painfully clear.

But hey, ratings are up, and any press is good press, right?

Are you not entertained?

yet he's doing soooooo much better then Obama

What about the Director of the National Intelligence?
OK, so they're in agreement that Russia was meddling. Are they slamming Trump too? Democrats are all up in arms because they think the election got stolen. I've seen the assessments that it didn't affect the final outcome. And the U.S. meddles in other countries' elections too, including Russia. Obama used taxpayer money to try to get Netanyahu defeated. And he treated Israel and Great Britain like crap. So what Trump is doing isn't out of the ordinary. And it's time that we get a more equal footing in the world. Global free trade pretty much means that other countries are benefiting much more from our economy than we are from theirs. Which hurts our workers. We finally have a President who puts America first, isn't beholden to corporate interests above our citizens(as so many of you predicted he would be) and things are improving. If he were a Democrat you'd be thrilled. Trump is MAGA, MAGA is Trump!
